Hey Everyone!

So I’m heading back to Hampshire 2 for the break. I’ll be taking the server down this morning at about 8 AM. I’ll get it back on by sometime Monday (Maybe Sunday night…maybe…).

When I get back it will be silly, but I’ll be trying to make time for version 0.06. Creating a log of the chats is at the highest priority, followed by the team attack bug. There are other things too we all want, so we’ll see if those get into 06.

Epic RP

Pirates, a former Queen, 20 airships crashing into the water, an epic battle, a sleezeball. We had it all. In the forums a recap was posted by Ramsey. Thanks everyone for the sweet roleplay.

It was an RP jam. A perfect one where everyone moved to the beat and played right on key.

So this is the final version for my Advanced Seminar Class. I’ve removed as many bugs as I could test on my own. I’m going online with it right now, so join in if you want.

Also, this may be the end of my class, but it is only the beginning of BREACH. Now that the game is at a point where real play can happen and it’s polished enough to support a solid player base, it only gets better from here. There are still features that should be added in and storylines to create. I thank everyone for the support they have given so far and look forward to the roleplaying that we’ll be doing in the future.

Hey Roleplayers,

So I’m working on version 0.05 right now. The servers may be spotty as I have to add in some support for them. This is the final submition for my class. All I’m doing right now is fixing bugs. All of the playtesting that you all have done has been really helpfull, and I’m getting through these bugs pretty quickly. If things continue to go this well, there will be some nice features placed in as well (switching themes, some nice feedback). If they don’t get in for 0.05, they will be a priority for the next update.

Look for the update either Saturday night or Sunday morning. Depends on how much trouble these bugs give me. I’ll be setting up a play session for Sunday night to celebrate the release (and really make sure these bugs are gone). I’ll send out an e-mail, but tell your friends. The adjustments made here should be able to support regular play, so lets get that going.

Bug-a-fixin

So thanks to the quick reply of Drizzt, some big bugs were found. The biggest one I just made a quick fix for…you’ll need version 0.04 now:

Custom Themes

So Daria is a fantastic show. I just watched about 5 hours of Daria as I worked on this update.

So the big update is the ability to customize the user interface. This install will put a new theme folder in your BREACH install. If you change the images in this folder, it will change them in the game. It’s not complete, and it’s a bit clumsy, but it’s there. Better to find bugs now while I’m still working on it. If you whip up a custom theme, let me know. Post it on the forums. If enough people like it, I’ll include it in the build.

Awesome Playtest

Huge thanks to all the people that participated in the live test. Lots of bugs were found that will be taken care of soon enough. More importantly, lots of fun was had. If you head over to the forums you can see a quick description of some of the events that took place.

So I’m going to set up another live test, but this one I’m going to let people know by e-mail, the boards, and this main page. It’s going to celebrate the release of the new version which, because of my class, has to be done tonight. I don’t know how many of the bugs I’m going to be removing because I’m putting in a big new feature. Stay tuned to find out what it is.

Live test tonight from 5PM to 7PM. Getting some people from campus to try out the game. If anyone has been looking to play recently but hasn’t had anyone to play with, this is the time to hop on. Also, sign up on the forums to keep in touch with roleplayers, set up meeting times, and report bugs. Enjoy!
